Hi! My name is Frantisek Friedl. I study "BSc International Business with German language" at Warwick Business School in the UK, as part of which I spent a year studying as an exchange student at the Mannheim University in Germany in 2016/17.
I was born and raised in Czech Republic which I left at the age of 17, when I moved to the UK and completed my A-levels at Henley College.
I bring together people and technology. I enjoy working in teams with other people but unlike most business students, I love to code as well! Through my formal education and traveling I have come in contact with a great amount of people coming from all over the world! I am now able to appreciate diversity, work effectively with others and to inspire and lead when the situation calls for it. Due to the flexibility of our University I have been able to tailor my degree placing an extra emhpasis on the development of software nad computer science topics.
Additionaly I have completed over a dozen online programming courses and have applied those skills in my personal projects for myself and for others as well. Here you can have a look at my Git Repository and further details about my projects follow below :)
Among my top values are simplicity, learning and independence.
One of my favourite things to do is to travel. I have been able to experience living in several countries throughout my life and have traveled extensively alongside. I have mostly visited European countries but have recently spent longer periods of time traveling around Asia which has definitelly been a very enriching experience.
I love to read, contemplate all the available knowledge and then integrate it into my life. I particularly read non-fiction books covering wide range of topics from phylosophy though psychology to marketing and finance. While an in-depth knowledge of a particular field is desirable, I believe that to be successful, one has to adopt a holistic approach to life.
